This short film highlights two contrasting areas within the Greater Cairo Region, one located at the heart of the metropolitan capital while the other is isolated from the rest of the main urban fabric. In these two areas, local communities face the same struggle when attempting to reclaim their rights.

Taher Abdel-Ghani is an urban researcher, a lecturer assistant and an independent filmmaker. His main focus is analyzing the urban environment through cinematic images.

Ahmed Abdel-Aziz is an award-winning architect, designer and visual artist who gained professional experience in human-centered projects, including conservation and adaptation of historic buildings and sites, museums, exhibition design, as well as cultural management.
